Pots of Luck – The Evolution of Seamus

First launched in April, Pots of Luck is a state-of-the-art online casino with a distinctly Irish flavour. Packed full of the finest games, from the Emerald Isle and beyond, it is hosted by our very own lucky leprechaun, Seamus.

Seamus is the keeper of the Pots of Luck website, the Twitter and Instagram accounts, and the Facebook page, where he provides regular gaming updates, and good craic. He’s quite a character, and we felt that he deserved to really pop on the page, so we called in the experts.

Manchester-based 3D animation wizards Studio Distract have worked with Disney/Pixar, and collaborated with Ed Atkins for the 2015 Manchester International festival. They were the ideal candidates for the job.

With the 2D Seamus already created, the challenge was to maintain the essence of the character, but bring him to life using 3D rendering.

We worked closely with the Studio Distract animators to ensure that they understood our vision for Seamus, and could help us realise it.

Pots of Luck Brand Manager Emma Sweeney explained:

“Studio Distract provided us with several options each step of the way, so we got to decide not only the basic look, but the details which really matter, such as which hand shape fitted the character best, as well as his skin tone, hair colour, and even down to the fabric of his suit. It was really exciting to see the development and, of course, the finished result - he looks fantastic!”

The new and improved Seamus now forms part of the Pots of Luck logo, and will grace banners, mailers and external adverts.

You can pop in and see him on the Pots of Luck website, where you’ll find classic games such as Rainbow Riches, new releases like its sequel ‘Pick ‘n’ Mix, and Medieval Money, and even some unique titles.

There’ll be fantastic new games, incentives and offers aplenty throughout the seasons, so watch this space.

Plus there’s an exclusive VIP Club with amazing promotional offers and bonuses for you to take advantage of.
